Finally and at last I have a set of the Wonderland stamps. The 1840-1865 issues complete. And these are a very special set as they were posted to me on the anniversary of Alice's boat trip and the telling of the Wonderland story.
I shall of course be wanting of the later issues and the Snark Island set, plus some covers to complete the collection.

I think I shall make some special album pages incorporating the catalogue format together with some classic Wonderland images.

Thank you Gerald

I've discovered a stamp dealer on The Strand (a rare thing these days and not stanley Gibbons, at one time there were many dealers located there) who actually had a few cinderellas and in particular some of Gerald King's stamps. Some of my finds are shown here along with stamps with tags that I had previously purchased:

Daniel, I think you said a while back that you were a fan of the Penny black and stamps derived from it.

But here's one item I forgot that I had. Cut from a parcel wrapping almost certainly sent to Mr Dodgson whilst studying at Oxford. I wonder what was inside the parcel. Possibly a cake from a favourite Aunt?

I've finally managed to start to add Gerald King's (aka Phantasmagoria) works to askmeaboutstamps.com.  I've started with the Alice series of covers and am in the process of ploughing my way through the pre-Alice Dodgson covers.  You can find them here and watch them slowly grow.

When I get there I'll need a scan of your parcel fragment Steve.  I have one but with 4 different stamps.

I have the feeling that this might turn into a never-ending task!

Keith

Only another zillion covers to go and then I can start on Snark!

I think you may be right, as I suspect there have been changes over the years. Only Gerald can tell you how many

I think like me, Gerald does a lot of his stamps for the fun of it, if others enjoy it too then that's an added bonus.

Keith - I know what a monumental task this is for you but I am sure you will get your reward in stampy heaven one day.  I know lots of collectors, including me, are going to find this archive hugely helpful and a source of great inspiration.  I hope it also helps ensure that Gerald gets the recognition he truly deserves.

That's right - boost my confidence.

Anyway, I can't do anymore today as I have to go to the pub and then to see Chesterfield display their silky skills battling against the evil Shrewsbury.  And before I do any of that I have to go find a spam fritter.

Keith
