A small variety here. The Wincanton stamp produced for publicity purposes, the crinkle cut smaller version is rare.

At least 2 items were produced for Stanley Gibbons. This item with an explanatory label was produced as a limited series of 300 for inclusion in a special edition of their magazine.

Finally, a cover was produced for the East Knoyle Community Shop, shown on piece, and the green version of the Vetinari stamp which was produced only to be stuck on the cover. Mint versions are rare.

Thanks Daniel, Some lovely pieces. I often wondered if one or two copies of the Penny Patrician 2008 sport option sheets had been perforated and added to LBE's. Never found any evidence though.

Eaten by Snails Cover

Available only through the Green Cabbage Trading Scheme and limited to only 100 copies. Note that the stamps are slightly different. The one on the right has the head of the patrician looking up at certain 'goings on' in the cabbage field. Shown front and back.

An unissued imperforate sheet for Klatch, a country on Discworld that resembles a medieval Arabic state. The design would later be used for Djelibeybi (pronounced jelly baby as in the sweet), another similar country on Discworld.

Do not forget the really rarest of the rare.
The $5 Brass Bridge triangle sport from 2004 with the Patrician's head inverted.

Only 10 of these (out of 500 $5 triangles in total) were released into the public domain, via extremely lucky Little Brown envelopes. Even then there were two different perforations. Early prints had perforations done at Bath Postal Museum at 12/2cm, while later prints, which may represent the majority of these 10 stamps, were perforated at Wincanton 10/2cm

The $1 Tower of Art from 2004 had several sports (limited number of stamps with a deliberate design difference) issued, while there were at least 3 such designs which never achieved a release. However at least one of these did get to the stage of complete sheets being printed, and submitted for consideration. The Open Door sport had the small door at two oh-so-slightly different slightly ajar designs. these were rejected as being way far to subtle to be detected.

An imperforate pair of Open Door sports

Close ups of the doors showing them slightly ajar.

Having finished sheets with such a virtually undetectable design difference, it is not beyond proability or possibility that a couple of these actually perforated by accident and stamps ended up in some collectors' album.

Further to the Green Penny Patrician post above, it is nice to have them autographed.

Thanks Charles and Steve.

Two 'postcards' which, understandably, were limited to 100 only of each . They were produced to commemorate the Battle of Koom Valley between dwarves and trolls as told in the book Thud. Both with Ankh-Morpork stamps cancelled with Field Post KV marks. The first written on Military Issue Dwarf Bread and the second written on rock by trolls. The stamps are different, the one on Dwarf Bread shows dwarves chasing away trolls and the one on rock depicts trolls chasing dwarves away. More readable close-ups of the descriptive cards shown below.
