Just sorting and cataloging an 8 month backlog of stamps, it occurs to me that in December, both Steve and Hilary issued their 48th releases, and February sees the 50th releases. I hope we see something special for this occasion.

Also, I hope Colin has the time for an Isle of Vue release for this year (and next)! We've had 8 in a row, and it would be a shame not to produce 10 (although 14 seems more appropriate).

Many thanks for mentioning that Peter, but Officially the Oddities have just completed their 50. Both the Welsh Antarctic Daipendency and the Political labels that were double issues sent out in successive months. The last one, the chocolate bar collector's stamps was also a double issue (13 stamps and an album is the justification) but sent out as one mailing.
I actually never thought they would keep going this long but there always seems to be a bit more material appearing.

Nice observation, Pete.  I am now sorely tempted to do a 50th but, theoretically, Pharos stamps have been going since the 19th century, so Feb would just be the 50th to have been issued beyond Pharos borders...  However, I'd be interested to know what others think.

'just'? Surely that will be the 50th issue recognised by U.P.U.

There are some interesting anniversaries coming up this year which might well sprout all sorts of special issues.

Don't forget the Forum Anniversary stamp for which designs will be required soon.

This year we are accepting submissions from teams of designers as well as individuals so why not get your heads together now and start to get some ideas down on paper?

I think that means YOU

Seriously though, if anybody has issued their own stamps, or has a desire to do so, here is the perfect opportunity to be creative.
