The New Zealand Wine Post is one of the first privately owned postal services in New Zealand. It is operated by Weston Winery New Zealand, which began issuing the Wine Post issues in 1990 primarily for its own domestic and international postage, although not exclusively. The Wine Post currently issues commemorative stamps for Oceania Nations and Antarctica Post.

1990 1st isssue

The only known error in these stamps are perforation mis-alignments.

!992 Wine and Flowers. Available in 2,3,4 and 5 'Glasses'
Here are 2 and 5 as a Se Tenant pair.

There exist many interesting items for this issue. There is a beautiful colour design sketch. But the most spectacular of all is the colour 'block' which is four times the size of the actual sheet as printed. There exists a trial printing with the words and values set out in different positions. These are thickly pink toned gummed and are imperforate on matte paper. The issued sheets were printed in several different print houses over their issued life-time; and these are identifiable by differing colour shades.

I have quite a few of the Weston Winepost stamps, and am happy to trade with others.

The attractive designs include birds, the Taieri Gorge Railway with steam train, Dodge car, skiing, glasses of wine, Jesus making wine out of water, butterflies, and other gems.

Connoisseurs of wine are recommended to visit the winery, when ever you are in Dunedin. It is located in sunny Wakari, and the more recent stamp issues can be purchased there (as well as bottles of their award-winning wines.)

Here are some.

As much as I like wine, and I rate your recommedation, I doubt I will be anywhere near Dunedin in the near future in order to make the detour
