A question or two to Sealand collectors out there:
- I'm looking for scans/pictures of First Day Covers. The only I have are from 1969 and 2002. - I'm also looking for larger part sheets of the 1970 issues, i.e. 'Ships', 'Marine animals', 'Admirals & Pirates' as well as 'Painting of the Sea'. Larger than just one set of the smaller values, 8 large format values and 4 souvenir sheets. Or even a picture of an entire printing sheet... ![]() Perhaps there is an expert Sealand collector out there with whom I could compare notes. Any help is most welcome! Best regards Doktorvonwer |

I'll bump my request, because I really need to compare notes with other Sealand collectors.
Is anybody out there who has Sealand stamps or sheets of - the "Women's Year" issue (1975), - the Children's drawing stamp (2002), - the Royal Family set (2004) or - the sunrise set (2010)? Any FDC information is also very welcome! Best regards - doktorvonwer

Hi doktorvonwer,
I have a few of their stamps but no covers. You might try the Sealand website where it appears that the 2010 Sunrise stamps are still available: Although Roy and Joan Bates are no longer with us, their son Michael or his son James are still running Sealand and you could direct an enquiry through the website and see if they can check their archives for information. Good luck, Daniel

As requested, a few more pictures:
The subject is the officially called 10th anniversray of independence issue. They usually appear as a miniature sheet of 10, in two rows of 5. Note the postmark: 1976, whereas the 10th anniversary was on 2 September 1967. ![]() This is a picture (I believe) from "The Times" of London. Unfortunately, I have not been able to trace this particular sheet of just the 60 c value. As I don't have access to the The Times newspaper archive, I don't have a date for this picture. However, the youngest coin shown came out in 1977. ![]() This next one is a rouletted reprint of no. 53 from the "10th anniversary" set of 10. I'd like to know, how and in particular when this was issued. Anyone with pre-2002 uses on cover? Or part sheets? This last sheet of the same issue is quite obscure. I could only trace a small version of the image. Here we have multiple sets of 10 in one sheet, without the wider salvage around the common miniature sheet. Again, I would like to know someone who has it. ![]() This concludes my pictures for the moment. Best regards Baron Bernhard - doktorvonwer |
