Great Disasters

Not really your typical Cinderella stamps, but stamps they are as far as I am concerned. These were, together with the collector's album, a freebie with 'The Rover', a British boy's comic. I would gues late 50's to early 60's. Does anybody know better?
The point is, would these be produced and published today? Disaster after disaster, with a death toll well into 6 figures. Would this not traumatise today's youh? Perhaps not, when they can rack up a similar figure of fatalities playing video games.
