Exhibition stamps

   There are often some nice exhibition labels/stamps on auction sites, and I was pleased to get these recently.

Issued for the 1907 Madrid Industrial Ehibition they feature Alphoso XIII and Victoria Eugenie. Unusually for Exhibition stamps there are 6 denominations (usually no values), but were only valid for postage on mail sent at the Exhibition. Does that make them a hybrid official/cinderella stamp?

There are a number of these currently on auction and sales sites around the world, with prices of 235 Rand (£19) or US$30 (£17). So I was very happy to succeed with an opening bid of 99p
