There was a discussion on this topic possibly on the previous version of this forum or on the Discworld forum. Anyway, I thought I would re-introduce it here since I have come accross a few other examples.
Firstly, these stamps relate to Len Deighton's novel SS GB an alternate history novel in which he speculates what might have happened if in 1941 Germany had successfully invaded Britain. SS GB being the branch of the SS that controls Britain. It's basically a detective novel. The jacket of the first edition is shown here: It features the basic Hitler definitive but inscibed 2 1/2 D Postage Revenue The following are part of a series of modern fantasy stamps inscribed SS GB and clearly relating to the book: |
