![]() I don't know whether any other members attended the show in Norwich but I managed to take a look on the final Saturday and was snapped in front of David's excellent display.
The stamps, the involvement of Alan Batley and I in their design and development, and David's excellent descriptions made his display one of the most popular of the week's exhibition and there were lots of questions asked about Terry Pratchett's Discworld stamps and a great deal of interest among serious philatelists and casual visitors alike.
There was also an original Mail Coach on display and various post boxes and ephemera, all of which have been photographed for future reference. All that was missing was a comemorative cinderella stamp - maybe for the 200th anniversary?!
Well done David - and the NNPS

Thank you Colin. It was great fun putting the display together and nice to know that it was appreciated. I have heard from a member of the Norwich and Norfolk Philatelic that it was the most popular display. However, I could not have done the display without the superb work of Colin and Alan.
The problem was choosing the best bits when everything was the best bits!! This is the first time I have exhibited publicly and whilst I would would like to be around for the 200th, I have my doubts about managing this feat!

I'd like to congratulate David on a job well done and also praise the Norwich and Norfolk Philatelic Society for being brave enough to put up a display of cinderellas in their centenary celebration. While I was there it was difficult to see the Discwold stamps because there were always people stood in front of them, where many of the other displays were not attracting as much attention. I do not think it was any mistake that the display was positioned so that when visitors slowed down to read it they were in just the right place to be greeted by N&NPS members and asked if they would like to join!
So well done David and well done Colin and Alan, and I am looking forward to reading more about the 'Norwich Connection' in the N&NPS newsletter.
