Oh don't do that!
While they are possibly losing a bit of income, this is only potential income. I prefer to see the fun side of these issues, which is whee you come in, rather than having them as a merchandising exercise. But if they exercise a conservative and relevant issuing policy then that's second best.

I agree with Steve.  By all means encourage them to issue their own, but what's wrong with showing them how it's done?  You are potentially creating a demand.

But if you don't let us know soon how we can get our grubby mits on your stamps, I for one will scream and scream until I'm sick.

shouldn't that be "... thcream and thcream until I'm thick" ?

Hi, Thank you for your most interesting comments, without appearing pedantic could I pose a retorical question?
As I don't actually own the things I'm photographing (islands!) and producing an image for gain, do you think I am commiting any legal or moral offence?
I have my own view but would welcome yours.
Regarding getting hold of stuff, if you would pm me your email I can send a list which shows everything I have left.

Lawyers feel free to leap in, but my understanding is that if you photograph something from the public highway (or equivalent), you're OK.  Of course, if you were trespassing, or you had to pay for access, or you stole the camera, you may have a problem.

PM on its way.

Haven't been here for a while so I just did a forum search for lighthouse stamps and found these too.  I will have to redo my birthday list.

Congratulations Keegan

Bugger. I was looking good until you mentioned nicking the camera.
Appreciate your thoughts, It would be interesting to see how these opinions would fare in a court of law! (An interesting exercise only if you are NOT the defendant)
I just wonder how a person or company would defend a charge if they were producing Jigsaws, Postcards or Calenders ? Do you think they compare?

Hi, Just to let you know that I've had new stamps printed up for Skomer and Skokholm, as you know they are small islands off the very west coast of Wales in Pembrokeshire.
Will be making the pilgrimage to visit both of them (in about 2 weeks time) to carry the FDC's for posting on return to the mainland.
I'll apologise in advance to Hilary but neither island has a lighthouse. Not really my fault, but I can promise a nice stamp featuring the fog horn on Flat Holm early next year, perhaps that will do !!!!
When they are released I'll be adding the photos to my Photobucket pages.
Good Hunting
