With apologies for the delay I have now added the latest issue of Steve's Postal oddities of Wales to askmeaboutstamps.com

It covers the always popular issues of the Bo Peep Sheep Sanctuary.

You can find the details here

Well done Steve.  I liked the booklet - your first.  You must be a proud father!

Thanks Keith

The next issue will be coming your way soon. Something a bit different yet again and certainly something few have ever seen.

I find it difficult to pick-up threads from the last forum and perhaps it's better to give a brief re-introduction.

Steve Tandy, Steve on this forum, produces his own stamps on the general theme of Welsh Philatelic Oddities. These have been catalogued on his and Keith's website (along with the stamps of Colin Edwards and now Hilary) as per Keith's post above. They are produced with great imagination and humour. Steve has unearthed a whole new history of Wales and has produced local stamps, revenues, definitive and commemorative stamps such as the Oernent Tramway, The Welsh Antarctic Territories and, most recently, The Bo-Beep Lost Sheep Sanctuary. There is usually a special cover but in this latter case, a special booklet.

Included in the Bo-Peep stamps, or labels as they are termed in this instance, are designs of a somewhat risque nature and I have had to place these in a brown paper bag only to be brought out when the ladies have retired from the dinner table leaving the gentlemen to their cigars!

Information sheets accompany each issue. I wonder if any of the variant National Sheep Dog Week booklets were actually distributed last time or was Steve just teasing us?

Brilliant stuff!

I have to add my praise to the other comments on Steve’s stamps. I have the last issue and a few of the earlier ones. Hopefully, I will get the others soon. The attention to detail on the stamps and information sheets is fantastic. The story behind each stamp is well researched, plausible and very funny. Keep up the good work Steve.

I must add my voice to this thread... they're bloody brilliant...
I can't wait for the damn volcano to stop belching ash into the air so that air mail starts to function again and I can finally receive the last four issues. I'm really looking forward to them.

It's now the last 5 issues I'm afraid as the latest Welsh "taster" (sorry Steve) landed on my doormat today.

Another entertaining issue Steve but I can't stop to describe it as I have the overwhelming urge to go eat a Welsh Rarebit. Smile

A bit of both. There may have been a variant booklet or two going out, but everyone only got one booklet. I couldn't get a complete set of booklet variants, just a couple of the commoner variants.
