I sent off some off the orders yesterday, another batch due to go off today.

I haven't mentioned VARIANTS anywhere before - it slipped my mind when writing the eBay description - so happy hunting  :-)

If anyone needs any help feel free to pm me.

Thanks again to everyone who has bought these stamps and supported my work over the past couple of years, the proceeds are going straight into printing and perfing the next issues.

I see that all the sheets have not sold yet.  Everyone should get in quick while they can.  It's for a good cause - Colin's next issues.

Once Steve and I have our mits on the stamps and have tortured Colin into saying what the variants are we'll do an update to askmeaboutstamps.com you can all have a look.

I'm sort of hoping that they don't arrive tomorrow. Firstly it may be a rather soggy package due to rain expected, but also there may not be anyone home. So it will be yet another trip to the sorting office to claim my post.
Just to spite me, the postal service will pull out all the stops in order deliver promptly for the first time in 2 years.

Mine were waiting when I arrived home.  I've only seen these stamps as singles before on some of Colin's envelopes.  In sheet form they are really, really, good.  And I've managed to find all but three variants inside about 10 minutes so they are not silly, impossible things.  I'll pour a glass and peer at the others with my feet up later.

It's the attention to detail in Colin (and Alan's) stamps that I always love.  Keep it up boys.

To us mere mortals this was a new and unexpected issue from Colin. I too had only seen these stamps on parcels before and was delighted to have the opportunity to buy sets, sheets and covers. This really is a great set and I hope that someone takes them up as tourist souvenirs.

Thanks Daniel!  They were produced more to showcase our abilities and print quality than to sell as designs, but they have certainly worked hard for us.

Just a short note really to explain that the minisheets of 51N stamps have now run out, so if anyone is keen to have a sheet for their collection, let me know via pm and I will organise a small reprint next month.

I agree that this is a really nice set of stamps! They weren't completely new to me, as I was lucky enough to get a few as an extra last year- but I'm so glad to have a full set now.

I like that the designs are quite different, but all within the theme, and still sit very nicely together. I also have a soft spot for small sheets, rather than bigger ones. Saying that they are cute sounds daft, but I don't know how else to explain it. Although from a practical point of view, it also means that they fit in the same album as covers.

Avebury next please.

Older, less understood, more mysterious, more accessible (you can have a pie and pint within the confines of the monument), more extensive and you don't get bustled out of the way by a coach party on a 20 minute stop in order to take a snap and tick a box on their itinery.

More than Stonehenge, Avebury rocks!
