This is a recent purchase. A booklet entitled "The Poster Stamp To Day: Its Growth and Modern Application", a 24 page promotion for Poster Stamps and using actual tipped in examples from their archives. To quote from the back cover, "SAMUEL JONES' BUTTERFLY BRAND GUMMED PAPER is world famous. It is used for POSTAGE STAMPS, EXCISE STAMPS AND POSTER STAMPS in nearly every country." Where original stamps weren't available, black and white illustrations have been used. You will probably recognise many of the stamps shown. Here and over the next few posts I will show the booklet in its entirety.
