These are wonderful! I too would like to know a bit more about them. They seem to have been issued during the “Grouping” era of UK railways and are perhaps miniatures of the full sized versions they hung in stations. Thanks for sharing!

Yes,they are miniatures of actual posters, many of which can be seen at various railwayy museums in England.I am trying to find a catalogue or ilisting of these stamps, and am always looking to purchase new items.I recently acquired about 40 of these and am awaiting their arrival.

Wonderful! If you find a good resource for information about them, I would love to know it. I checked the Railway Philatelic Society’s page, but they don’t mention any resources that seem as though they would be of use. And, of course, if you find the time, I’d love to see the new stamps when they arrive. Thanks again for sharing!

These were produced in 1936 for the Children's Newspaper. They were given away each week and there was an album available. See this flickr link:  https://www.flickr.com/photos/36844288@N00/4476690366" rel="nofollow - https://www.flickr.com/photos/36844288@N00/4476690366
A useful railway book is Railway Posters 1923-1947 by Beverley Cole and Richard Durack and published by The National Railway Museum, York.

It appears that this was the second issue. The first series was issued the previous year, 1935, and covered The Southern Railway. Each set consisted of 40 stamps issued 4 per week over 10 weeks.

Thanks for the links,very helpful.
The last scan I posted was of LNER poster stamps,I believe. These appear to be different from the first series, and are not perforated like other examples I have found.

A nice collection Daniel.
All are classic images still available as (repro) prints to hang on a wall. They are so instantly recognisable.
