Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger - DGzRS (literally German-Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked Persons}

Founded in 1865, it is our equivalent of the RNLI. Stamps have been issued for many years for fundraising purposes or as receipts (quittungsmarke) of membership.

These 2 sheets appear to date from around 1966. They are attached to information sheets but these are in German, I might scan them later. I don't know if they are still produced.

In this example, the German rocket pioneer Gerhard Zucker has used one of the stamps on one of his rocket mail cards from 1962.

I have the block of ten stamps from the left hand sheet.  Don't really collect German cinderellas but do like these.
