"I have just spent a couple of hours looking at the many images at this website: "

That's what was written way back in 2011 on one of the threads in this category. To look at the images here would take no more than a few seconds depending on how fast your internet is. To be precise, there is just one image !! Shocked

Yes, a whole Category for Specimen stamps and only ONE PICTURE !! If no one is collecting Specimen stamps then surely the category can be replaced for something more appropriate.

So let's find out. Wink

This thread is for YOUR pics of YOUR Specimen stamps, labels or covers. If you have any info about them then add that to, if not no problem. I want to see some colour, so no links to your PB account, Blogs or websites. I want to see the pictures here at our Forum. Got it ?

I do not collect these but do have some I picked up lots or were gifted to me. So not much info I'm afraid but I will endeavor to add at some point.

Here are some nice Jersey Revenues, beautifully designed and printed.

Here's a couple of Colombian revenues printed by the American Bank Note Company. Both have punch holes.

Beautiful designs, works of Art.

I do have some more modern specimens, nothing rare, but they are colourful. I will post pictures up if I can find time after a pile of of other things I want to do, and if I can remember to do so.

More Swiss, some inscribed and the odd one overprinted. Those without are Test Stamps printed in Berne on different papers and given to potential clients in presentation folders.

St.Christopher, Nevis & Anguilla overprinted St.Kitts and with a further 'SPECIMEN' overprint in block capitals.

Won these recently in a prize draw on another forum.

Here is an example of an exhibition sheet overprinted 'SPECIMEN' for Presentation purposes. Most of these types are scarce with print runs of 500 or less, sometimes much less.

This one was produced for the organizers of Stampex 1976 and exist also in Presentation cards/folders and on a few covers.

God Bless America !
