Here are a couple of characters from the Franco-Belgian comic book 'Journal De Spirou'. I acquired these from a dealer who had purchased part of the collection from the estate of the late Jim Czyl, who produced and collected Cinderellas. Although these characters, Buck Danny and Sonny Tuckson appear very Dan Dare-like, they were in fact pilots in the US Navy and later the US Air Force along with a third character Jerry Tumbler, not depicted here.
Created by Jean-Michel Charlier and Victor Hubinon in 1947 for Spirou, the stories continue to this day but with a changing team of writers and artists. |

This Cinderella sheet came with a set of greetings cards from the Tintin shop in London. Based on a previously issued sheet with a different centre design.
