Picked up an auction lot today and discovered this panel of what looks likes Russian Cinderellas.

Interestingly the ones advertised on ebay are only a partial print - some colours missing

This illustration looks very similar to the one on this stamp
so perhaps a test run for that. But why perforate them? There has been all sorts of bogus issues from Russian republics like Abkhazia and Dagestan in the last two decades, none of which are real stamps. This was my first thought, however this predates the collapse of the USSR. Bit of an interesting oddity. |

Hi Steve
Thanks for the input. Did you notice the numbers on the bottom of the full sheet? 30V 60 .......... 30th May 1960 perhaps ?? and a long number - 86335. Number of sheets? I found an image on Google in full colour. The sheet number looks like 58022 http://www.google.co.nz/search?q=russian+stamps+with+siberian+tiger&hl=en&tbo=d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=tWYVUbySKeaziQehjoCwAw&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAA&biw=958&bih=523#imgrc=LKP9Yr-iqdPGsM%3A%3BUZ8kzW6ufDRmyM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fi.ebayimg.com%252F00%252Fs%252FNTkyWDc4Mw%253D%253D%252F%2524(KGrHqN%252C!oEE-2DK)2SVBP-F460cGg~~60_35.JPG%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fcgi.ebay.com%252Fws%252FeBayISAPI.dll%253FViewItem%2526item%253D180976563812%2526_trksid%253Dp2992.m753%3B300%3B226 This has a link to an ebay sale Russia - Siberian tiger sample VF mint MNH- Corner stamps with numbers on sheetsUS $59.99
