Raymond Moretti (1931-2005) was a renowned French abstract painter. He painted many Jazz musicians and produced lithographs, magazine covers and postage stamps.
This folder, produced for the Association of Interior Designers, Societe des Artistes Decorateurs (SAD), for their exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris from 22nd November to 15th December 1985. The sheet of Cinderella stamps was printed using thermographic printing, that is, raised printing without using engraving or embossing as used on business cards etc.. It depicts his version of the famous Albert Einstein photograph taken by Arthue Sasse in 1951 with Einstein sticking out his tongue. Behind him is the Grand Palais. |
