I got this nice little set not long ago. Issued by the British Philatelic Association to celebrate the 20th Philatelic Congress of Britain in 1933 they show a stamp of Sir Row (as he liked to be called) posting a letter. Each stamp is on a different paper

1. Black. Wove,hand made
2. Blue. Wove, machine made showing a typical mesh
3. Green. Laid
4. Red. Pelure
5. Purple. Wove batonne
6. Orange. Laid batonne
7. Sepia. Quadrille

They were printed in sheets of 12

I had noticed these stamps for sale on ebay, they're just the sort of cinderellas in which I'm interested, but had previously only seen them as odd singles or sheets of 12. I wasn't aware of the different types of paper used and this makes them even more interesting. I've just managed to purchase a set. Thanks Steve.
