We have members from all over the world here and I thought some of you might like to have the opportunity to let us know how you are doing, how your country is coping with the Coronavirus crisis - and if you are 'self-isolating' then what are you doing with all that newly-found spare time!

It doesn't have to be stamps-related...

Any tips that might be helpful for others...

PLEASE DON'T USE THIS AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PROMOTE YOUR OLD STAMP ISSUES!  THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER THREADS WHERE YOU CAN DO THAT  Wink

I am working from home this week. It's not something I would normally choose to do as I like to share thoughts with people while working (I am a journalist).

Does anyone have any advice on how best to work from home? I keep getting distracted by the kitchen and the biscuit tin whereas at work I have my coffee and lunch at my desk and ignore biscuits as my colleagues are watching!

I also miss the lunchtime walk to te local Tesco's to pick up my Meal Deal, usually a chance to clear my mind and refocus.

Good luck to everyone else here in dealing with the virus, particularly those in shutdown.  I know we have members in Italy, France and Japan but do we have any in China?  How are you all getting along?

Very little difference made to me so far, apart from having to give up on going away on holiday. I no longer work, am reasonably fit with no underlying problems, house is always well stocked with essentials, and have missed all the flu viruses of the last 3 or 4 decades without any immunisation.

The best advice I ever had for working at home was to put on your 'work' shoes when working, then change back into something else at the time you'd normally get home.  I have always found this helps me 'know' whether I am at work or at home.

The only advice I have for biscuits is not to buy them in the first place!

How about everyone else here? Any tips?

Normal for me, permanently working from home with my 'office' room right next to the kitchen...

But thought some of you self-isolators' might find it amusing  LOL

Busiest junctions for me would have to be 'Fridge' and 'Kettle'.
