I kno this may make some people yawn, but a bundle of mixed trading stamps at the starting bid was worth a punt. What I have got, added to a few of already lurking in a box, is quite a range of these from diffferent countries, different schemes, different ages; a right mix

I will post the images up in different posts so that if anybody wants to comment on any, or even identify some for me (please do), just quote that post.

Some of these may not even be trading stamps. Included in the batch were even a couple of 'stamps' from a child's toy post office. I recognise one of them because I had the toy that it came from.
Others are self adhesive stickers that are not stamps but served the same purpose

The first lot will be familiar to those Brits over 40. Various Green Shield, Co-op, and S&H Pink stamps

I used to work at a petrol station in the 60's, in the days before self-serve was invented. We gave out Green Shield a strip per gallon. There was always competition with another station who also gave these out, so some weekend it was double, triple or quadruple stamps. Even so half the customers couldn't be bothered with them, so I could take them home. sticking them in the savings books was a chore. Redemption value was quite low. A wheelbarrow load of books might get you a screwdriver set. I seem to remember though, that the catalogue actually listed a Mini car. I wonder how many of those were claimed?

Anybody know anything about the Tin Tin stamps? I assume they were collected for some merchanise.
Sperry and Hutchinson I believe was the company that started all this in the USA.
Budgens I know are UK based, but never lived where they had shops.

Various stamps and stickers given away by petrol companies, presumably for you collect from a limited range of knick-knacks

These may be all from the UK, but some could be other countries as the companies are all multinational
