Imagine my surprise when these arrived through the post....

I thought you might like to play spot the sport
I've replaced my photo with a scan of the stamps as the earlier image didn't do them justice

(All the stamps are by a certain CE of this parish/forum)

I'm sure most of you are familiar with his work and know much more about them than I do.

At first glance these Cinderella stamps look as if they are authentic stamps from the fifties.....but I'm sure they were made in  2000-2020. I don't know how many of you read the Eagle magazine (first published 1950-1969) or "Roy of the Rovers" but the "Federation of Faraway planets" and "the Rovers Return" could easily have come from one of their early issues. As for "Haverscroft Ladies Challenge Match" and "the Tomboys" they remind me of the covers of "What Katy did next" or "the upper Fourth at Malory Towers".

Does anyone know more about these stamps ? Is there a Ladies Challenge match at Haverscroft ?
What's the significance of 17th July?

I just love the hidden details in CE's stamps - eg the "subtitle" in the top right of "the Rovers Return"
